Ryder Cup Host 2018 LeGolfNational joins WLG
Superior French golf establishment first WLG member in the country

Le Golf National was specifically created as a compound for the Fédération Française de Golf enabling it to host the major French and international golf events. Designed by architect Hubert Chesneau, the club was therefore conceived as a real arena dedicated to presenting these golf events to a greater audience.
Built on a former public waste collection site in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, the designers were free to shape everything to their preferences from the overall layout down to the smallest detail. The idea was to develop a topography and conditions ideal for major events ensuring the best welcome and visibility for the many spectators as well as for the media.
The resulting 18-hole Albatros golf course, as centrepiece of the site, is revered by the greatest golf players in the world for its unique character and challenging holes. The 42nd edition of the Ryder Cup will be the opportunity for the Fédération Française de Golf to promote golf in France and to highlight the values associated with this sport. And of course, the cup will strengthen the club’s reputation all across Europe – a goal World of Leading Golf will support by all means available.
