Co-founder and shareholder retires after over 35 years in the golf business

On Monday August 7th, World of Leading Golf president Wolfgang Künneth announced his leave in an email to members, associates and long-term companions. WLG CEO Claus Feldt thanked the founder expressing his gratitude for the former colleague’s support and spread some insights on what is to be expected due to the change.

To make sure everyone is up to date, the management has decided to publish extracts of Claus Feldt’s notice to the parties concerned:

… as CEO of World of Leading Golf, I am writing you in response to Mr. Wolfgang Künneth’s parting as president and shareholder of our organization - you may already know this by having received his farewell notice.

Over the last couple of years Mr. Künneth, or Wolfgang, as many of you know him, has helped World of Leading Golf to grow into what the organization is today. He has spent time and effort to develop the former regionally limited organization into an international network, which is further growing into markets such as Russia, Scandinavia and the MENA region.

With sadness, we see Wolfgang leave the association, but with new partners we are looking forward in continuing on our path – forward into a successful future.

In the past months, we have already taken some steps in rejuvenating the organization and will implement further measures in providing efficient and professional services and support to our members. One of those steps included the relocation of the head administration office to Vienna, from where we will lead all organisational matters. In regards to our Concierge Service, we have gained a new, highly versed, marketing and promotion team already well-established in the golf business.

Concerning the leadership and management of World of Leading Golf as a whole, I, Claus Feldt, will keep the position of CEO and will, of course, continue being the consultant and contact for the community of quality and values.

Wolfgang was respected and liked and was an instrumental part in our organization. We wish him all the best on his further path and thank him for his commitment to the common cause.

Now we are looking forward to strive ahead on the successful path we have paved for World of Leading Golf.

Best regards,

Claus Feldt …
