WORLD OF LEADING GOLF NETWORKING DAYS IN THE D-A-CH REGION
WLG is gaining momentum resulting from the recent WLG Networking Days at GC Margarethenhof and GC Kitzbuehel-Schwarzsee
Since by now a good number of WLG member clubs are located in Germany and Austria, the association invited executives of renowned golf clubs in the region to get together at the Golfclub Margarethenhof and/or the new WLG member club Kitzbuehel-Schwarzsee-Reith. On these dates, the WLG representatives used the chance to briefly present the union and its achievements, goals and services to all those who may not have been aware of the current status, before going into the diverse concepts and current developments.
Presentation of the adapted Mystery Test carried out by WLG cooperation partner International Golf Research (IGR) as well as the respective research and benchmarking tools. It was decided, that WLG will publish more individual recommendations and should be used more intensively as dialogue and consulting partner. At this time, the new Tester’s Manual was introduced and discussed before its distribution alongside with the commercial benchmarking questionnaire. A well accepted feature, which will help clubs compare and assert themselves against the international competition.
As the World of Leading Golf Concierge Services concept is taking shape, the options and offers for WLG member golfers were reviewed with the result, that the given information should be more detailed where possible. While being a part of the Concierge Services concept, the World of Leading Golf World Cup Series was presented to the Networking Day’s participants as something going a bit beyond that. The difference being, that the tournaments are open to members AND friends of World of Leading Golf. Official announcements of the 2017 events in place at Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, Finca Cortesin, Golf Costa Adeje and Yas Links as well as Club de Golf La Reserva de Sotogrande will be made in the coming weeks.
Another piece of great news for members of World of Leading Golf member clubs was the option to organize an exclusive Ryder Cup event at Le Golf National for all to participate in. Details on the concept are being worked out at the time.
Concerning the WLG member clubs in the DACH region specifically was the presentation of possible measures of cooperation. The goal was to cross-link WLG member clubs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland so they could benefit from each other’s experiences and jointly address their members and guests. Several promotional ideas were discussed like collective advertisements for example, a common newsletter sent to all known contacts via WLG or even an own internet-platform where all WLG member clubs in the DACH region could present themselves. Further possibilities such as a direct approach of team captains for more interaction amongst the clubs on all levels were also debated and regarded as promising.
As a follow-up, WLG sent out a summary of the items presented as well as the concept for the discussed promotional measures and will go forward with the collected input to start realizing things probably in July.
